stahl und eisen - It is often difficult to find the right topcoat to provide the finished product with the requested properties. These considerations apply equally to façade cladding, roofing, blinds or doors. An extensive product portfolio often makes the selection process unnecessarily difficult. The new POLYCERAM Plus topcoat portfolio, now launched by BASF Coatings after more than two years of development, offers fast and flexible solutions.
The product portfolio is clearly structured and organized. With only eight product lines, instead of the more than 20 previous offerings, it is possible to fulfill nearly any customer request. Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) was one of the first BASF customers to switch over to the new topcoats in 2009. “POLYCERAM Plus topcoats meet our customers’ requirements and exhibit high quality and excellent processing characteristics,” says Valerij Rogachov, Technical Director at NLMK. “There were no problems switching over to the new product line.”
